It’s no secret that choosing and joining a new school can be an intimidating process, which is especially true when it comes to college. Choosing a college is a life-changing decision, so it’s important to decide on a university where you feel the most at home.

Lubbock Christianity University is a small school that offers big experiences. In this blog, we’ll explore what it means to believe, belong, and #BeBlue at LCU!

Academic Excellence Rooted in Faith

Lubbock Christian University is much more than just a college. We are a place where academic excellence and a strong commitment to faith go hand-in-hand. Our mission as a Christ-centered, academic community of learners is to transform the hearts, minds, and hands of our students for lives of purpose and service. At LCU, you’ll learn what it means to be guided by authentically Christian faith in every dimension of your academic, personal, and professional life!

Getting Involved

In order to further help transform the hearts, minds, and hands of our students, LCU offers many different organizations in which students can put their passions, ideas, and interests into action. Whether it be through service and involvement in social clubs, furthered education in the honors college, charitable giving through volunteering, or any other number of great organization opportunities, there is a place for you. Get involved, get active, and let your voice be heard!

Student Life

At LCU, our students have a chance to live large while enjoying the strong sense of community and welcoming atmosphere that comes with attending a small school. From the moment you step foot on campus, you’ll begin to understand an entirely new level of community, belonging, and fellowship. When it comes to the college experience, we understand that growing and learning to be a part of a community is just as important as the academics themselves. For that reason, we’re proud to host a number of different housing, dining, recreation, and worship opportunities that are all designed to ensure you get the absolute most out of your time at LCU!

Life as a Lubbockite

Much like LCU, Lubbock is a small place with big opportunities! With a population of right around 260,000, the Hub City channels the feeling of a small town while offering the amenities of a large metropolitan area. With countless cultural, recreational, retail, dining, and entertainment opportunities, Lubbock truly is a unique place to call home.

Hear what others have to say!

We could go on all day about how great it is to #BeBlue, but don’t take it from us! Who better to hear from than those who have been here before you? Here’s what some current students have had to say!

“My years at LCU were some of the best years of my life. I chose a small university because of the huge high school I had gone to, and I was so pleased with the very personalized experience I had.” - Carla C.

“Not only is God’s presence pouring out of every building, but the professors, administrators, custodians, outside maintenance, athletes, volunteers (etc. etc.) show everyone the respect and overwhelming support we all truly need.” - Payton S.

“One of the best decisions I could have made for myself. I met true best friends who became more like family and we always keep in touch. I found my husband and made amazing memories!” - Jordynne G.

Lubbock Christian University may be a small school, but here you'll live large. Are you ready to see what your future holds in store?
